Castrol BikeZone zooms into New Delhi

•April 15, 2008 • 2 Comments

World Class Motorcycle servicing now available for motorcycle owners in Delhi.

Castrol’s revolutionary new concept for motorcycle servicing – Castrol BikeZone – was launched in New Delhi & Faridabad today by Indian Cricket Captain and Castrol’s Brand Ambassador – Rahul Dravid.

The opening of four Castrol BikeZones across the city marks the beginning of a new and exciting phase in motorcycle servicing. Whilst inaugurating one of the outlets, Rahul Dravid said, “I have been associated with Castrol now for almost six years and have seen that they are always in the forefront of innovation and cutting-edge technology. I am sure that Castrol BikeZone will be yet another success story which will offer consumers the benefit of a world class service experience”.

According to AS Ramchander, Executive Director, Castrol India Limited, “Castrol BikeZone is a part of our vision of touching areas of bike care that go beyond lubricants. It is a unique concept in motorcycle servicing that will allow consumers to benefit from the highest standards of servicing. Castrol BikeZone is differentiated by the key benefits of transparency of service and personalized attention with the assurance of high quality technical service. Therefore, the customer will have “no surprises” at Castrol BikeZone. I am confident that we, along with our four business partners in New Delhi & Faridabad, will successfully bring alive the Castrol BikeZone promise to the city’s bikers”.

The four Castrol BikeZones that opened in New Delhi & Faridabad today are at Wazirpur, Mangolpuri, Rama Road & Bata Chowk.Castrol BikeZone provides a transparent problem diagnosis of the bike’s problems with the customer fully involved in dialoguing with the mechanic in determining the jobs required to be carried out on the bike. The three-tiered service menu helps the customer choose the right kind of service for his bike. The pricing is clearly stated for each menu and the customer knows exactly what the cost of the service would be, so that he/she gets no shocks at the time of billing. The service is best in class, using the latest technology equipment and done by expert mechanics trained by Castrol.

The Castrol BikeZone concept was first launched in India in August 2004 and after a successful pilot test in Bangalore and Chennai, the concept is now being rolled out nationally. There are currently 35 Castrol BikeZones operational in seven cities – Bangalore, Chennai, Trichy, Mysore, Hyderabad, Pune and Delhi. By end 2006, it is expected that Castrol BikeZones will be operational in 15 cities nationally.

23bhp or 20 bhp…

2ndApril’08

Today I had a word with Yamaha Serviceman who have tested R15, According to him R15 will be launched with 20 to 21bhp, because 23bhp is too much for the indian roads. They have tested R15 with 23bhp and its very difficult to handle 23bhp bike on indian roads. they have tested R15 with 20bhp and bike is easily cross 148km/h speed.

So what will be plans of Yamaha Now…………

Yamaha is Testing R15 to Generate 23bhp….

31 March2008

I had a word with Yamaha’s Service Manager ,He told me that Yamaha R15 will be the most powerfull bike in its segment. R15 will be the powerfull among the bike like Apache RTR160,Pulsar 150,180,200cc and among Hero Honda Karizma 223cc. Yamaha is testing R15 Bike on 23bhp,and I think they will achive it and they have said that they have tested the bike and  easily touch 145km/h speed. When I asked them that what will be the top speed, they didn’t say any thing except– This will touch more than. This bike will be launched between June and july’08 and Fz150 will be on Roads till November.

Yamaha is opening its service station in Mathura Road, Near Haldiram,Opposite Vcustomer on 2nd April’08. This station will service the Bike like YamahaR15,Fz150,R1 and MT01 as well. This Service station is equipped with all the Facilities and  there will be well trained servicemans for these bikes,I have mentioned above.
