No This Bike is Not coming in India for let say Another 1-2 yrs. But after that Yamaha Might Launch this Bike in India but with high capacity like 200cc or more than that. Right now they have Plans to launch Yamaha R15 a 150cc Bike. You can check it from the first Page.

R15 would have much better preformance than R125, R125 only looks nice but packs no punch, wat do you expect with 15bhp and 11nm torque my pulsar 180 has 15nm torqe, n that too r125 @ 4 lakh , wat a waste of money, i’ll go 4 ninja 250 instead with this much money

For the record, the R125 has 33bhp and the R150 has 17bhp. The R125 is a MotoGP replica, which is why its priced higher.

And if its only the looks & styling your looking for R15 is the best you can find in the market but at a price of 80 to 100k id go for a pulsar 220 rather than a 150cc .
But we’ll need to see its other features also like mileage etc for an indian economic market then think if its worth it .

This is a fantastic bike .when this bike will come in the market. i will be the first persom to buy this.
yamaha r-125 is not likely to be launched in india anytime soon..r-15 is priced at arnd 95-105k..thats abt it.dont go speculating abt the r-125 version..its priced beyond the 3 lakh mark..not for the conservative average indian biker obviously..and someone up there got it wrong..r-125 delivers only about 15 bhp which translates to abt a top speed of 120 km/hr,to be very optimistic.r-15 delivers better but has been toned down in terms of chassis quality and accesories to suit the indian market..i only hope bikes would get better and fancier in the indian terrain once r-15 is recieved favourably by the indian biking community..till then i guess r-15 is all we have..thicker tyres or not!

Did some research on this on the net.. d R125 is, as said everywher, d younger brother of R15.. so obviously it’ll hav a downgraded performance, evn if marginally so.. besides, its engine capacity is also less, so this one coming from the same factory shed as d R15, can b expected to b a close follower.. but dats abt performance, there’s no telling hw d looks of d bike will compare to its elder.. hoping dat yamaha will not change d styling of d bike wen released in India, its sure to b a big hit.. this is coz d R125 surely gives d R15 a run for its money as far as looks r concerned.. being a newer release, it packs a bigger punch in its looks and styling, and d R15 may jst loose out overall due to this.. d bike is expected in July of 2009 according to some, while others thnk it’ll see Indian roads not before mid-2010.. personally, I’m looking forward to its release here in India as soon as possible, as its gonna b interesting to see hw it fairs in the market versus its rival from its own family, d R15.. priced at 90,000 (approx.) d R125 sud compete wit d R15 neck-to-neck.. and then, who knows, it might jst take over its own brother!!!

r 125 is a bike made for European riders who don’t bother abt mileage.. note that it has 130 section rear tyres… it makes 15 bhp out of 125 cc…
that means it clearly dosent hav the mileage for releasing on Indian roads…
Second thing its price is way too high.. europen price-abt 3000 euros.. no way it wil be priced below 1 lakh..:(

guyz… we had waited for the r125 for a long tym… a friend of mine who races for yamaha knows some officials in yamahafactory they say tht r125 is not gonna come in india that soon coz the riding style and the speed factor of tht bike has to be limited so r125 is being modified for indian roads… instead yamaha is launchin another two byks in the r series.. names hvent been confirmed will keep you updated…

i think this is a good bike but it may give back ..pain and also i dun think the handel can turn completely comfortably…..becauce of close handle with tank……..and hope r series bike hav wide grip tyres and 125 kinda cylenser ……..r125 is looks good but hope teh mode guard can be taken off then it seems damn hot……..r125 seats is really coollll ……and hope there could be a space for leg guard….coz once it had an accident eth will be broken so…….and overall r125 is much much better than r15

i happy with my R15 in midnight red color khool and its rocks … i reach 128 top speed more then that i dont have a road to try that in gujrat..also great balance and control as compair to bajaj and karizma. u can easily take curve cut turn on 90kmph love that…
